Jesse Harvey

My name is Jesse Harvey and I have over 30 years of experience in the medical field as a foreign medical doctor and physician assistant. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to teach a diverse range of medical professionals including medical assistants, phlebotomists, emergency medical technicians, nursing, physician assistant, and medical students critical care skills. For the past 30 years, I have led a team approach to basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, and pediatric advanced life support. As a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Physician Assistant Studies Program, I seek to build these critical skills in other medical providers to instill the confidence required to accomplish the task at hand and provide them with the ability to become a successful provider. My background in the military as a combat medic, EMT, and nurse has further shaped my medical career. I served as a physician assistant in the US Army and became a TCMC (tactical combat medical course) instructor, where I trained groups prior to deployment into austere environments. This course was particularly challenging and consisted of advanced life-saving tactics and clinical skills in the field. I am currently writing a book about this experience. My goal is to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to each and every individual who walks through my door. Whether it’s managing chronic conditions, addressing acute concerns, or simply providing preventative care, I am committed to working with my patients to develop personalized treatment plans that meet their unique needs. I believe that the key to good health is a partnership between patients and their healthcare providers, and I am dedicated to fostering that partnership with each and every patient I see.
