About Jessica Hammonds
Jessica graduated from the University of North Alabama School of Nursing in 2009. She completed graduate studies at the University of Alabama Birmingham in 2013, receiving her Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. She has over a decade of neurology experience and 7+ years of experience diagnosing and treating various primary headache disorders including migraine, tension-type, trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias, medication overuse, and facial pain. She also has experience in medical risk adjustment and coding within the telehealth space. Jessica passed the National Headache Foundation Certification in Headache Medicine in 2018. She is also a regular attendee of the Scottsdale Headache Symposium to ensure she stays up to date and informed on current standards as well as newly developed studies and research within the headache space. She understands how debilitating headache disorders can be and is passionate about providing evidence-based care, putting the patients’ needs first. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with her family, including her dog, Jack (ask about him!).
