About John Plowden

Dr. Plowden went to medical school at the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, IN in 1987. He completed a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in 1990 before additional training in interventional cardiac catheterization from Texas Children’s Hospital. He particularly enjoys treating hypertension, preventive cardiology, noninvasive electrophysiology and congenital cardiac anomalies. He is currently practicing at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia in Augusta, GA as Professor of Pediatric Cardiology. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, travelling, and spending time with his family.
